prepare cover

•  You can create your document in any office or graphic application
•  Design complete cover with front, spine and back
•  Calculate proper spine thickness depending on number of sheets (1sheet=2pages): spine = no. sheets x 0.11 mm
•  Any objects (text and graphics, except bleeding ones) shoud not be closer than 5 mm to the cover's edge
•  Spine text shoud have at least 1.5 mm free space to spine fold (due print/binding tolerance some shift may occur)
•  Make sure if text do not exceed creasing lines (or it is demanded effect)
•  Graphics resolution should be equal to 300 dpi
•  Define colours in CMYK mode
•  For large black areas use black colour composed of 100% K colour (do not use CMY addition as preparing for offset print)
•  Be aware that colours showing on your monitor screen may looks different when printed due to differencies in imaging technology

•  Output the cover to PDF or PostScript file (JPEG or TIFF is acceptable in individual cases)
